THE E-GOVERNMENT CENTER SUPPORTS APPLICATIONS IDEAS
The e-Government Center will support the production of four electronic applications presented in the open innovation contest “e-Applications for Moldova”, held on 18-20 May in Chisinau. The four projects are: “Social Tools”, “Open Med”, “MoldBizPedia” and “e-ticketing”.
Over 15 teams presented in the contest their applications ideas / prototypes for web and mobile, which are meant to help solve social problems and encourage innovation.
The aim of the “e-Applications for Moldova” competition was to promote open data in readable formats, on friendly online platform with social impact. The event gathered together IT developers, public sector and civil society representatives in order to form an environment where the community can effectively use open data.
“E-Applications for Moldova” is the first competition of this kind, held in the Republic of Moldova. It was attended by over 100 developers. The competition was held with the support of the “CMB” Training Center, the IT Developers Association and FusionWorks and with sponsorship from the e-Government Center, The World Bank, and the companies Moldcell, Endava, Papirus Market and Codru Hotel.
